A villa is a different holiday from a hotel room.
Villas suit people travelling together: families with young children who need somewhere to put them down, groups who want to cook and eat on their own schedule, and anyone who would rather have a kitchen and a terrace than a lobby.
Ours are planned across three settings in El Nido, each with a different relationship to the water. All three are within reach of the town, the boats and our beach bar.
On the sand, with the water at the end of the garden. The shortest walk to a boat and the best option if the sea is the point of the trip. Sunrise or sunset depending on which side of the headland you take.
Set back into planting, cooler through the middle of the day and quieter at night. A short walk to the water rather than a step. The best value of the three and the easiest to live in for a longer stay.
Up in the hills behind the bay, looking down over the karst and the water. Cooler air, wider views, and a drive rather than a walk to the beach. For people who want the landscape rather than the shoreline.
